- Central to witchcraft is the belief in the karmic rule: whatever you send out comes back on you. As with any belief, though, there are those who follow it to the letter, and those who figure karma won't catch up to them until well past the point of caring.
General Abilities
Bear in mind, not all witches have all abilities, nor do all witches use every ability they have. For many, it's a personal choice as far as which innate skills they develop, and as with any skill, some are stronger than others.
Psychic Abilities
- Astral Projection -- The ability to be in two places at once. A person leaves their physical body behind, becoming more or less a spirit, and is such, able to move from place to place.
- Aura Reading -- The ability to see and gain information from auras.
- Clairvoyance -- Also known as premonition, the ability to look into time, past or future. Also the transfer of information about a person, place, or object through extra-sensory perception.
- Conjuring -- The ability to create things out of thin air. Generally very difficult and exhausting.
- Divination -- The attempt to ascertain information by interpretation of omens or signs. Tarot cards and palm reading tend to be popular methods.
- Scrying -- Also known as crystal gazing or seeing, the practice involves seeing things supernaturally in a medium (crystal balls, mirrors, etc), usually for the purpose of fortune-telling.
- Shapeshifting -- The ability to change shapes. Can be used on oneself or on another person or object. It should be known, however, that while a human can become an animal or another person, an inanimate object can only be changed into another inanimate object. (No teacups to turtles or vice versa here!)
- Telekinesis -- The ability to move objects by thought.
- Telepathy -- The ability to communicate through thoughts. Can also be considered mind-reading, to an extent.

That Reincarnation Thing
Reincarnation is, quite simply, the belief that after death, a person's spirit survives to be reborn into a new body. It's an ancient concept, one that has worked its way into many religions over the centuries, and the reasons for why it happens are varied; generally held is the belief that a person is either not ready to let go of the physical world, or still has something left to learn.
To be reincarnated does not necessarily presume that the person was or is a witch; nor does being a witch automatically mean that the person has been reincarnated.
